We are offering a unique position where the successful applicant will receive some fantastic experience in sports development and event management and also receive qualifications such as bike maintenance and cycle coaching.

The successful applicant will develop sports & cycling coaching and cycling maintenance skills, and assist to organise sports events, and gain experience in business administration, marketing and accounting.

The role will initially be based at home due to the ongoing Pandemic with visits to Trafford College and other work sites on a regular basis each week.

We are a new and enthusiastic business seeking a suitable person to help us to continue to grow. We are looking for a person who is willing to learn and develop themselves and in return we will provide you with some fantastic experience and support.

The successful applicant will be willing to learn from our experienced team to help us achieve our key objectives.

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills including excellent written and spoken English as this role will involve attending meetings with external partners, often via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

This role will see the successful applicant work with our cycling coaches, cycle mechanics and our sports development team on a wide variety of roles including our BTEC Cycling course, the Hulme Cycle Library, cycling coaching sessions and visits to businesses to help them develop their cycling offer and whilst experience in similar areas of work is desirable, it is no means essential.

You Will be Involved with our BTEC Programme

A key part of this role will be to support the Head Coach for the BTEC Cycling course we run in partnership with Trafford College and we anticipate that this will take up 50% of your time each week.

This role is funded through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme and to qualify for this role, you must be in receipt of Universal Credit and aged between 16 and 24 years old.

Qualifications: 5 GCSE’s at Grade 5 or above.

Contract: 6 month fixed term
Location: Manchester
25 hours per week
£10.00 per hour.
